Secret Santa
Illustration and 3D snow globe to support holiday toy sales
When you stop and think about it, Santa and truck drivers have a lot in common – they both deliver gifts, they both travel a lot, and I’ve seen more than a few truck drivers with some pretty awesome beards.
In an effort to draw attention to the holiday gift displays at Pilot we created 3D, rotating snow globes. The front featured a jolly old truck driver and his furry co-pilot, but on the back the truth is revealed, it was Santa and Rudolph all along!
Retail is detail as they say, so we snuck in a few hidden “easter eggs” for those in the know. The truck’s license plate reads “1958,” the year Pilot was founded, and the names on Santa’s nice list feature recognizable names including the CEO, Chief Merchant, several designers, and our print and production team.
